With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duncan John McCormick III (Laurinburg, North Carolina), who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan John McCormick Jr. (DJ) and Dorothy Carroll McCormick (Dot). He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth McCormick (Kathy) of Laurinburg and Susan McCormick Nance (David) of Cary, NC; his nieces, Angela Jones (Michael), Caitlin Dakermanji (Joe), Michelle Azzarello, Amy Covington (Mitch) and Kelli Taylor (Michael); and his caregiver Chris Whittington. He is also survived by four great nieces and one great nephew.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel (13640 Andrew Jackson Hwy, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given in Mackey's memory to Scotia Village, 2200 Elm Avenue, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
