She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Speed Davis and Frances Willard Robinson Davis; her former husband Judge D. B. Herring; and her son Joseph Davis Herring. She is survived by: her husband Milton Lauchlin "Locke" MacDonald of Laurinburg; and her sons, Bobby Herring (Ann) of Hamstead, NC and Jimmy Herring (Carolyn) of Buford, GA. She is also survived by Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
