He was predeceased by: his parents, Kurtis Cleveland and Elizabeth "Lizzie" McGee Barnhill; and his siblings, Isaac C. Barnhill, Jesse L. Barnhill, Carolyn Arnett and Betty Quick.
He is survived by: his wife Betty "Jean" Russell Barnhill; his son Bryan Barnhill (Patricia) of Ashe; his brother Sam Barnhill of Laurinburg; his grandchildren, David Bryan Barnhill II and Ashley Nicole Stout (Scott); and his great grandchildren, Gunner Stout, Jayden Stout, Zilly Stout and Cameron Barnhill.
COVID 19 mandates require facial mask or coverings and limited attendance for all services.
Memorial donations are requested to be given to the American Kidney Foundation.
