He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. Covington and Alena McGee Covington. He is survived by: his children, David Covington (Sherry) of New Bern, N. C., Kathy Brafford (Mike) of Henderson, N. C. and Frankie Fehlman of Laurinburg, N. C.; and his siblings, Geneva Rhinefield of Laurinburg, N. C., Mary Lou Covington of Cheraw, S. C., Dorothy Covington of West End, N. C., Judy Lowe of Rock Hill, S. C., Harold Covington of Hamlet, N. C., Bill Covington of Statesville, N. C. and Ed Covington of Charlotte, N. C.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
