It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garrett Sweat (Laurinburg, North Carolina), who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardell Sweat and Willie Ruth Dial Sweat. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Strickland Sweat; his children, Garrett Adam Sweat and Kelly Lynn Strickland of Maxton; his siblings, Glenn Sweat (Tina) of Maxton, Jeffrey Sweat (Janet) of Maxton, Sandra Jacobs (Delton) of Maxton, Judy Revels (Marty) of Maxton and Sharon Smith (Christopher) of Red Springs; and his grandson Blaydon Brayboy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
