It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Melton Sr. (Laurinburg, North Carolina), who passed away on May 10, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Woods Melton and Myrtle Harris Melton of Charlotte; his former wife Marjorie Blankenship Melton; and his siblings, Jack Melton, Woods Melton, James Justus, Frances Quinn and Jane Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Hopkins Melton of Scotia Village; his children, George Melton (Gloria) of Charlotte, Marjorie Anne Melton Harris (John) of Griffin and Carrie Medlock (George) of Laurinburg; and his grandchildren, Emily LaFontaine (Jon), Ali Mullins (Ryan), Rachel Harris, Justus Melton, David Medlock and Jack Medlock. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Covid-19 restrictions require facial mask, social distancing with limited attendance for all service.
