He is survived by: his children, Joseph Salchert (Janice), Matthew Salchert (Lois), Paul Salchert (Ronda), Nicholas Salchert, Andrew Salchert (Catherine), Marguerite Kearney (Sean) and Katherine Blount (Paul); and his stepchildren, Catherine Harder-Bernier and Steven Harder.
