It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jane Thames of Laurinburg, North Carolina, born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Thames; her parents, John Gilchrist Purcell and Edna Blue Purcell; her great-grandparent John Blue, Sr.; her children, Carsten Thames of Laurinburg, Johnny Thames of Myrtle Beach, Bobby Thames (Tracy) of Tega Cay, SC and Mary Margaret Thames Murray (Blake) of Laurinburg; her granddaughter Dawson Murray; and her sisters, Linda Alford (Earl) of Minturn, SC and Margaret Boan of Florence, SC. She was also cherished by her nieces and nephews.
