She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Eli Shankle and Katherina Brooms Shankle; and her brother Larry Shankle. She is survived by: her siblings, Robyn McPherson (JR) of Hamlet, NC, Frankie Shankle (Sylvia) of Rockingham, NC, Bobby Pileggi (Yvonne) of Chapel Hill, NC and Ronald Shankle (Mary) of Rockingham, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
