It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Chavis of Laurinburg, North Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lewis Chavis and Maggie Locklear Chavis; and his brothers, James Earl Chavis and Robert "Ray" Chavis. He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Wright of Florence, SC, Patricia Jacobs of Laurinburg, NC, Glenda Hicks of Raleigh, NC and Randolph Chavis of Laurinburg, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
