It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Nichols (Laurinburg, North Carolina), born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxwell Moore and Caroline Hohman Moore; and her husband Captain Robert John Nichols. She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Patrick Nichols of Lexington Park, MD and Brian Anthony Nichols (Valerie) of Port St; her grandchildren, Robert Anthony Nichols, Amanda Nicole Nichols and Allyson Paige Nichols; and her great grandchildren, Sharon Elizabeth Nichols and Quinn Amber Nichols.
