He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilton Long, Sr. and Ethel Mae Long Porter; and his sister Mary Frances Long. He is survived by: his wife Ann Morrison Long; his children, John Wilton Long, III of Gibson, NC, Carrie Long Clyburn of Bennettsville, SC and Ann Long Shampy of Laurinburg, NC; his stepchildren, Lee Teal of Gainesville, GA and Jan Teal Fink of Hamlet, NC; and his grandchildren, Eric Clyburn, Forrest Clyburn, Ben Long, Colton Long, Ashley Shampy and Trevor Shampy. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 mandates, to ensure public safety attendance for services will be limited.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be given to Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
