He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer William Edwards and Eva Pearl Westmoreland Edwards; and his spouse Gerald Allen Edwards. He is survived by: his children, Kirk Edwards (Kathy) of Morganton, Doug Edwards (Lynn) of Laurinburg and Cindy Follord (Dave) of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, John Fletcher, Matthew Fletcher, Reid Edwards, Catherine Thurman, Aaron Watts and Ashley Oxendine; and his great grandchildren, Gracelyn Henson, Paisley Henson, Newton Watts, Leo Oxendine, Sophia Rose Fletcher and Riley Gray Fletcher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many special friends.
The family requests in lieu of flowers for memorial donations to be given to the Caledonia United Methodist Church 15201 Barnes Bridge Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
