She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie James Deaton and Ila Mae Johnson Deaton; her spouse Holmes Underwood; her son William James Underwood; and her brother Fairley Deaton.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Greene (Ivan); her brother Lonnie James Deaton, Jr. (Kay) of Laurinburg; and her granddaughter Kelsy Lee Underwood (Ian Burke) of Winston Salem. She is also survived by her extended family and friends.
