She was predeceased by: her husband William "Rufus" Deese; her son Bruce Deese; her parents, Braddy Locklear and Cassie Mae Locklear; and her siblings, Daisy Freeman, Pauline Jacobs, Effie Jean Locklear, Martha Locklear, Curtis Lee Locklear, Redell Locklear and Prentis Locklear.
She is survived by: her sons, Bishop Ricky Deese (Sandra) and James Deese; her grandsons, Eric Deese (Diedren) of Pembroke, NC, Jammie Deese (Brandi) of Indian Trial, NC and Adam Deese (Ariel) of Lumberton, NC; her great grandchildren, Kaley, Kara, Jersey, Myah, Adalyn, Addison and Asturn Bartch of Red Springs, NC; and her siblings, Betty Ann Oxendine, Rosella Bullard Of Pembroke, Annie Ruth Locklear, Patsy Barnes Of Wagram, Faye Tascano, Wilton Hunt of Lumberton, NC and Mitchell Locklear of Red Springs, NC.
