It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Holden of Laurinburg, North Carolina, born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen John Smith and Mable Caulder Smith; her sisters, Peggy Bledso, Bertha Cox and Patricia Smith; and her great grandchild Cory Robert McMillan.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Holden (Gerry) of Laurinburg and Joyce Holden Ray (Bob) of Aberdeen; her sisters, Frances "Bootsie" Witten of Laurinburg and Grace Russo of Laurinburg; and her grandchildren, David McMillan, Robin McMillan, Pat Holden, Becky Snipes and Sarah Holden. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and twenty-one great-great grandchildren.
