She was predeceased by: her son Gerald Oxendine; and her siblings, Robert Lee Oxendine, Hallman Oxendine, Clavin Oxendine, James Earl Oxendine, Ronald Oxendine, Muriel Oxendine, Dorothy Locklear and Willow Dean Strickland.

She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Hunt, Audrey E. Locklear and Debra A. Hunt; her sister Betty Brooks of Pembroke; and her grandchildren, Tally L. Jones (Jeff), Laremy L. Oxendine (Candice Locklear), Geremy R. Oxendine, Brandon Oxendine (Christi) and Gerald "Tony" Oxendine (Michelle).
