She was predeceased by : her parents, Lucille Horne Newton and Mark Newton; and her brother Wayne Newton. She is survived by : her children, Keith Lathrop of Laurinburg, Dane Lathrop of Myrtle Beach, SC, Debra Sandlin (Kenneth) of Laurinburg and Sandra Oxendine of Laurel Hill; her sister Judy O'Brien (Dennis) of Laurinburg; her sister-in-law Betty Newton of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Kendall Strong, Christopher Oxendine, Eric Oxendine, Jordan Sandlin and Alex Oxendine; her great grandchildren, Micah Oxendine, Aubree Oxendine of Sawyer Oxendine, E. J, Maveric Oxendine, Lonie Strong, Wren Oxendine, Elin Locklear and Livia Strong; and her nephew Denny O'Brien.
