She was predeceased by: her parents, Purcell Scott and Pearlie Mae Locklear Scott; her husband Eli Thomas English; her sons, Eli Thomas English, Jr. and Timothy Dale English; and her siblings, Sidney Scott, Purcell Scott, Jr., Henry Lewis Scott and Sallie M. Scott.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Smith (Richard) of Gibson, NC, Sheila K. Miller of Gibson, NC, Minnie C. Sapp (Craig) of Belton, SC and Regina M. Adams (Bobby) of Bennettsville, SC; and her siblings, Lawrence Scott of Palm Beach, FL and Sue Barley of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, her extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel (13640 Andrew Jackson Hwy, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Pinecrest Cemetery.
