It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roney Chappell (Laurinburg, North Carolina), who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Wiley and Dorothy Kiger Chappell; and his siblings, William Thomas "Tommy" Chappell, Tony Chappell, J. C. Chappell and Marie Mauldin.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Wright Chappell; his sons, Avery Chappell-Walkwitz (Daniel) of Madison, WI and Matthew Elisha Chappell of Troy; his siblings, Rev. Ricky Chappell of Sanford, Jimmy Chappell (Barbara) of Candor and Deloris Morse (Harold) of Mt. Gilead; and his grandchildren, Allanah Chappell and Emalynn Walkwitz.
