She was predeceased by: her parents, Burnard Thompson and Iris Marleen Jernigan Thompson; and her husband Randy Smith. She is survived by: her siblings, Burnard "Bobby" Thompson, Jr. (Judy) of Laurinburg and Patricia Thompson of Arizona; and her siblings' children, Brian Thompson, Malerie Thompson, Valerie Thompson-Rubio and Courtney Lockey. She is also survived by four great nieces, four great nephews, along with her extended family and friends.
