He was predeceased by: his mother Nola Owens Smith; and his wife Mary Susan "Susie" McNeill Smith. He is survived by: his father Raymond E. Smith of Winterville, NC; his sister Tami Smith Dunn (Danny) of Winterville, NC; his brothers-in-law, Warren Carson McNeill III (Barbara) of Raleigh, NC and Waverly Barham McNeill (Susan) of North Charleston, SC; his sibling's children, Tara Dail (Robbie) of Greenville, NC, Brad Ammons (Mary Alyson) of Charlotte, NC, Traci O'Conney (Al) of Nashville, NC, Mary Beth McNeill of Raleigh, NC and Rebekah McNeill of Raleigh, NC; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carley Ritchie, Olivia Ritchie, Holton Dail, Cassie Dail, Ciara O'Conney and Will Ammons.
Memorial donations are requested to be given in Woody's name to the Midway Presbyterian Church.
