Joe Earwood Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Earwood (Lawndale, North Carolina), who passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Moton Earwood and Emma Blanton Earwood; his siblings, Edith Little, Nellie Allen, Ann Ledford, Doris Vinesett, Frank, Walt, Paul and Donald "Shorty" Earwood; his granddaughter Freya Earwood; and his nephew Mike Ledford.

He is survived by: his wife Frances; his children, Margo Greene (Jason), Joshua Paul (Stacie) and James Stanley (Abbie); his grandchildren, Marlee Jo, Ian, Georgia Greene, Haley Goode, Lucas and Jett Earwood; and his siblings, Linda Shurly and Otes W. Ledford, Jr..

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home (846 E Stage Coach Trail, Lawndale, NC 28090, USA 28042). A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
