She was predeceased by: her parents, James Duris Ward and Gertha Jennrette Ward; and her brothers, Norman S. Ward, James H. Ward and Roger C. Ward.
She is survived by: her husband Billy R. Caffee; her children, Candace Caffee Wolff (Neil Smith) of Wilmington and Ray Caffee (Brittany); her siblings, Charlie E. Ward and Omega A. Harrison; her grandchildren, Garrett Wolff, Beckett Caffee, Wyatt Caffee and Merritt Caffee; and her close friend Brenda Crisco of Southport. She is also survived by other extended family members including many nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.
Joyce loved flowers and they are welcomed, but in lieu of flowers, the family would love for you to donate in her memory to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center or donate blood to the American Red Cross.
