He was predeceased by: his parents, Scipio Weldon Whisnant III and Marie Chandler Whisnant; his son Robert Thomas Whisnant; his granddaughter Brook Amber Whisnant; and his brother John Chandler Whisnant.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Hinson Whisnant; his children, Rebecca Whisnant Lane (Jeff) and Scipio Weldon "Skip" Whisnant V; his sister Rosemarie "Bobbi" Whisnant Conley; and his grandchildren, Brett Lane, Robin Thomas, Stephanie Lane, Ginni Lane, Scipio "Clay" Whisnant VI and Wyatt Whisnant. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID- 19, six feet social distancing and face coverings are requested.
