He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles VanDyke, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell VanDyke; and his sister Judy Burress. He is survived by : his wife Doris Knight VanDyke; his children, Charles "Gregory" VanDyke (Kara) of Lenoir, Kelly VanDyke (Terri) of Madison and Teresa Smith (Bernie) of Kernersville; his siblings, Mark VanDyke (Kellie) of Winston-Salem, Linda Brewer (Dean) of Kentucky and Beverly Sexton (Joel) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Adam, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Jenna and Logan; and his great grandchildren, Colby, Colton, Zayden, Luke, Zylas and Greyson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
