She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobby E. Lackey and Barbara A. Deitz Lackey; her granddaughter Heather Harris; and her uncle Gary Deitz. She is survived by: her husband Lester Y. Watts; and her children, Richard "Kenny" Kenneth Watts (Brandy) of Lenoir, Renita Denny of Alexander County, Sherry Gurley of Lenoir and Breona Watts. She is also survived by grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Due to COVID-19 a memorial service to celebrate the life of Deborah will be held at a later date.
