It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lester Y. Watts of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lennie Watts and Bertie Yates Watts; his wife Deborah Lackey Watts; his brothers, Eaury Watts, Kenneth Watts, Eugene Watts and Charlie Watts; his granddaughter Heather Harris; and his great grandchild Michael Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Renita Denny of Alexander County, Richard "Kenny" Watts (Brandy) of Lenoir, Sherry Gurley of Lenoir, Breona Watts and Aubrey Watts; his brother James "Peanut" Watts (Martha) of Florida; his grandchildren, Bobby Harris, Johnny Harris, Samuel Watts, Harley Watts and Brayden Watts; and his great grandchild Troy Harris.
