He was predeceased by : his parents, Jasper Lee Jones and Gertrude Murphy Jones; and his siblings, Marie Jones, Ray Jones, Bobby Jones, Carroll Jones and Jimmie Lee Jones.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Morgan Jones.
