He was predeceased by : his parents, Cosba Barr and Jettie Barr; and his brothers, Cosba Barr, Jr. and Kenneth Barr. He is survived by : his wife Clara Bennett Barr; his daughter Karen Davis (Jeep); his grandson Sammy Ball (Courtney); his great grandchild Samuel Ball; and his sister Florence Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace Baptist Church, 7795 Grapevine Rd, Lewisville, NC 27023.
