With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Beasley Shelton of Lexington, North Carolina, born in Hamilton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Beasley and Mary Kate Ramsey Beasley; her husband Andrew Simon Shelton; and her siblings, Shirley Roberts Wilde and James Beasley.
She is survived by: her children, Browder Shelton (Teresa) of Lexington, Harold Dean Shelton (Jennie) of Lexington and Kay Shelton Leonard of Lexington; her siblings, Frank Beasley of Lexington, Dan Beasley (Faye) and Gail Roberts Herd of Colorado; her grandchildren, Jodi Shelton Young (Chris), Jennifer Taylor Oliver, Vanessa Taylor Gay (Darren), Jeremy Shelton and Brian Leonard (Megan); and her caregiver Pam. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
