He was predeceased by: his parents, George William Miles and Margaret Brown Miles; and his siblings, David, George Lane Miles, Dorothy Benner, Betty Harris, Mary Elizabeth Wacenshire and Ruby Mae Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Parker Miles; his son Daniel Lee Miles (Amanda Miles) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Emma Murphy and Cameron Dahlenburg; and his siblings, Harold Miles of Ohio, Bobby Miles (Shirley) of Granite Quarry, Sara Miles of Lexington, Bessie Jo Miles of Lexington and Martha Miles of Holly Ridge. He is also survived by 24 nieces and nephews.
