He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Conard Elmer Wood and Helen Everhart Wood; his wife Samira Slaydon Wood; his son Jarred Wood (Laurie) of Lexington; his granddaughters, Hannah Wyruit (Raekwon) of Salisbury and Lauren Ramirez (Gilbert) of Lexington; his great grandchildren, Maleeyah Goodman, Raekwon Wyruit Jr. and Eva Ramirez; and his sister Gail Byrd (Jimmy). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
