He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sidney Boyd Parnell and Minnie Barnes Parnell; his wife Doris Swicegood Parnell; his son-in-law Freddie Mock; his daughters, Vicky Mock and Jan Pickett (Cliff) of Lexington; his grandsons, Joseph Pickett and Jacob Mock (Katie); and his great grandchild Eliza Mock.
