She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivey Thomas Beck and Lula Mae Hedrick Beck; her siblings, Billy Thomas Beck and Emma Jean Beck Walton; and her nephews, William G. Walton, Jr. and Christopher Thomas Beck.

She is survived by: her daughter Tippy Kepley Varner (Nathan) of Lexington; her grandchildren, James Brendan Varner, Sr. (Jenny) of Lexington and Katherine Varner Shoaf of High Point; her great grandchildren, James Holland Shoaf, Elizabeth Walton Shoaf, James Brendan Varner, Jr. and Andrew Michael Varner; her siblings-in-law, William G. Walton, Sr. of Winston-Salem and Anne Caldwell Beck of Concord; and her sibling's children, Gregory Scott Beck of Mooresville and Deborah Beck Bayes of Simpsonville, SC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Hedrick's Grove United Church of Christ, 3840 Allred Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
