He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Maness and Annie Lula Hicks Maness; and his siblings, Margaret, Lessie, Doris, Eula, James, Earl and Gurney.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie Mae Lineberry Maness; his children, Patricia Barrington (Kenneth) of Burlington, Janice Wyrick (Brookie) of McLeansville, Elizabeth Everett (William) of Williamston, Charlie Thomas Maness (Debbie) of Liberty, Gary Leon Maness (Wanda) of Liberty and Harold Dean Maness of Franklinville; and his brothers, Tom Maness of Snow Camp and Junior Millard Maness of Siler City. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
