It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Vergie Hensley Sorensen of Liberty, North Carolina, who passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond "Dink" Hensley; her parents, James Wells and Mary Elizabeth Bachelor Wells; her son Danny Eugene Hensley; and her siblings, Arlene Bachlor, Orlee Dalrymple, James Norwood Wells and Steve Wells.
She is survived by: her son Raymond Alvis Hensley of Burlington; and her grandchildren, Ashley Hensley Johnson (Ben), Shane Hensley (Stephanie), Brian Hensley (Amanda), Toi Hensley (Chrissy), Damion Lineberry and Michael Teague. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.
