She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Edward and Gladys Irene Reitzel Allred; her husband John Franklin Smith; her granddaughter Courtney Staley; her siblings, Beatrice Myers, Joseph, Boyd, James "Jim", Vance, Carlton and Clarence, Jr.; her children, Cathy Duran (Mike), Gary Smith (Sallie) and Mark Smith (Jodie); her siblings, Sue Ekas (Ron) and Travis Allred; her grandchildren, Lyndsay Semchenko, Laine Cockerham, John Macon Smith, Jessica Branch, Morgan Causey, Joseph Duran, Whitney Wilson, Jordan Smith and Connor Smith; and her great grandchildren, Valory, Ruby, Rose Semchenko, Ellery Smith, Skylie Thomas, Alex, Briggs, Banks, Anderson Branch, Kenna, Emmie, Maisie Causey, Wyatt Wilson and Renley Smith.
