She was predeceased by : her parents, George Reynolds and Vera Crump Reynolds; her former life partner Horace Norman, Jr.; her husband Dr. Douglas Boyce; her son Jerry Norman; her grandchildren, Dennis Norman, Kevin Norman and Allison Kara Cruse; and her siblings, Roy Reynolds, Marie Sronce, Georgia Maners, Estelle Reinhardt and Stella Strickland.

She is survived by : her children, Rick Norman (Lu) of Lincolnton, NC, Joyce Cruse of Crouse, NC and Brenda Howard (Bob) of Lincolnton, NC; her daughter-in-law Dana Norman of Lincolnton, NC; and her siblings, Ray Reynolds (Pam) of Stanley, NC, Mary Hartman of Lincolnton, NC and Dot Prater of Lincolnton, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
