It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice Thompson (Mount Holly, North Carolina), who passed away on May 25, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Lander Nantz and Christine Carswell Nantz; her sons, Roger Lee Calaway and Rodney Joe Calaway; and her brother Jimmy Ernest Nantz.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Neal Thompson; her son Charlie Joe Calaway, Jr.; her grandchildren, Holly Calaway (Kim), Joe Calaway (Erica), Casey Calaway, Marci Baker (Matt), Chelsea Calaway, Jake Calaway, Keilan Stroupe and Eastyn Miller; and her siblings, Jackie Hudson (Dan) and Richard Nantz (Debra). She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
