He was loved and cherished by many people including : his son Douglas "Jerry" Nix; his wife Gladys "Susie" Nix; his children, Cynthia Nix Marth (Russell) of Linden, Tammy Nix Frandsen (Thomas) of Norfolk, Michelle Nix Anderson (Wesley) of Charlotte and Troy Allen Nix (Robyn) of Fayetteville; and his siblings, Delorese DeWayne of Idaho, Betty Conaway of Fayetteville, Clyde Nix (Janie) of Durham, Fred Nix of Linden, Malcolm Nix (Judy) of Pensacola and Eugene Nix (Kim) of Houston, Texas.
