He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Grady McKinney and Katie Ann Larkins McKinney of Little Switzerland. He is survived by: his wife Brenda H. McKinney; his sons, Scotty McKinney (Angie) of Spruce Pine and Matthew McKinney of Spruce Pine; his stepdaughter Brandy Geouge of Little Switzerland; his sister Melody Hughes (Byron) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Willow Grace, Gabby and Tanner; and his niece Chloe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church (1209 Chestnut Grove Church Road, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
