With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pamela Vaughan Matthews of Littleton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Pamela farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Pamela is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her sister Chris Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Donnie Matthews; her children, Bridgett Gattis (Dillon) of Sanford and Lucas Matthews; her siblings, Lynette Leonard (Rufus) of Hartsville, SC, Karen Wright (J. D.) of Warrenton, Annette Matthews (Dexter) of Norlina and Robert Vaughan, Jr. (Gina) of South Hill; and her brother-in-law Alex Carpenter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (255 Union Mill Rd, La Crosse, VA 23950). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at the Vaughan Family Cemetery (218 Woodland Rd, Littleton, NC 27850).
