She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward J. Alston and Hattie Pearl Vincent Alston; and her siblings, William, Edward, Samuel, Charlie, Bernard, Annette and Shirley.

She is survived by : her boyfriend Joseph "Joe" Price; her sons, Travis Williams (Theresa) of Littleton, NC and Cornelius Williams (Shameeka) of Rocky Mount, NC; her nephew Samuel Alston of Charlotte, NC; her stepchildren, Steven Settles (Tretiachi) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Shawneke Wilson (Markus) of Charlotte, NC and Addie Price of Raleigh, NC; and her siblings, Charles Alston of Littleton, NC, Ernestine Brown (John) of Norfolk, VA, Yvonne Carter of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Joyce Blackwell of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by four grandsons, two granddaughters, two step-grandsons, two step-granddaughters, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Because of Covid-19, the CDC guidelines will be followed for all services by limiting the number of persons in attendance.
