We are sad to announce that on May 31, 2025, at the age of 64, Rebecca Harwood Edwards of Locust, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Rebecca Harwood is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Rebecca Harwood's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harwood and Dorothy Allman Harwood; and her husband Scott Edwards. She is survived by: her son Chris Edwards (Magan) of Mount Pleasant; her siblings, John Harwood Jr., Archie Brian Harwood (Wendy) of Mount Pleasant and Nancy Harwood Furr (Jimmy) of Stanfield; and her grandson Walker Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Gordon Heights Baptist Church (510 State Hwy 49, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the Carolina Presbyterian Church Cemetery (406 Renee Ford Rd, Locust, NC 28097).
