He is survived by: his brother Homer Joseph Proctor, Jr. (Kay) of Locust, NC; his brother-in-law Roy Sledge of Charlotte, NC; his sibling's children, Homer Joseph Proctor, III (Leslie) of Locust, NC and Katherine Rogers of Locust, NC; his great-nephew Kella Smith of Locust, NC; his great-niece Whitney Hathcock (Carlyn) of Norwood, NC; his close friend Tom Brown of Charlotte, NC; his pet Priss; and also, Apollo Smith, Jamieson Hathcock, Gianna Whitley and Hailey Carter.
