It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bonnie Jean Wood of Louisburg, North Carolina, born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, J. H. Ferguson (Jack) and Florence Woodlief Ferguson; her husband Harold V. Wood; and her brothers, John Ferguson of Louisburg and Bervin Ferguson.
She is survived by : her siblings, Charlie Fergerson of Durham, Samuel Ferguson of Louisburg and Jackie Allen of Garner; her children, Vincent Wood (Donna) of Louisburg and Bonnie Lynne Person (Brad) of Louisburg; her grandchildren, Ashley Bailey (Chris) of Raleigh, Wesley Wood (Danielle) of Durham and Jessica Baker (Chris) of Louisburg; her great grandchildren, Walker, Mila Bailey, Luke, Ryan Baker, Lou and Robin Wood; her sisters, Dorothy Cook of Rolesville, Mae Finch of Wake Forest and Peggy Brantley (Ricky) of Middlesex; and her sisters-in-law, Merle Fergerson of Durham, Emily Angel of Madison and Katherine Brigman of Louisburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
