He is survived by : his children, Ricky Gilliam (Edith), Jackie Chappell, Sherry Waddell (Rodney), Wayne Gilliam (Rochelle), Johnny Gilliam (Amanda) and Dawn Qualley (Steven); his grandchildren, Michael Gilliam (Kim), Grant Gilliam (Heather), Chris Waddell (Heather), Leslie Chappell, Kevin Chappell (Lis), Heather Qualley, Joshua Qualley, Aria Qualley, Siri Qualley and Grayson Gilliam; his great grandchildren, Alex Gilliam, Ryan Gilliam, Damian Gilliam, Will Gilliam, Ava Gilliam, Noah Chappell, Jordan Padelford, Paisley Waddell, Savannah Padelford, Hayden Padelford and Crew Waddell; and his close friends, Nellie Shearin and Lewis Rene Evans. He is also survived by Daddy or Granddaddy.
