She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Sydney Melvin and Annie Mae Carter (Rowe); her husband George W. Hathaway; her son Richard Lee Hathaway; her brother Paul Carter; her children, Joyce Ann Martin, Robert, Donna Hathaway and Lloyd Allen Hathaway; and her brother Rocky (Tammy Carter). She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren.
