Ronald James Hormell Obituary

Ronald James Hormell, 65, of Louisburg, North Carolina passed away Tuesday February 4th 2025 at Louisburg Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Ronald was born on July 27, 1959 in Norwalk, OH to James and Thomasine Hormell. He grew up in Norwalk and moved to North Carolina in 1986. He had worked at PMS consolidated in Norwalk for many years and for Rea Construction in North Carolina.

Ronald worked as a traffic control operator. His favorite activities and interest include riding motorcycles, bowling, watching the Cleveland Browns and spending time with his grandkids and great niece.

Ronald is survived by his two daughters Brandi Heggie of Oxford, NC and Ashley Hormell of Stem, NC. Five Grandchildren Jayden, Jamal, Jordan, Mason, and Jaxson. Four sisters, Judy (Donny) Brushaber, of Louisburg, NC, Debra (Roger) Dailey of Hagerstown, MD, Susan Rhonemus, of Satsuma, FL, and Beverly (Ray) Ingram of Idaho. Six brothers, David Hormell, of Louisburg, NC, William (Dixie) Bursley, of Galion, OH, Michael (Ritajean) Bursley, of Wakeman, OH, Bobby (Irene) Hormell, of Wellington, OH, Denny (Kathy) Hormell, of Collins, OH, and Jimmy (Connie) Hormell, of Vermillion, OH. Several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A special niece Jamie Brushaber, nephew Corey Brushaber, cousin Leslie (Denise) Stone, and One special great niece"Little punk" Paislee Moore.

Ronald was proceeded in death by his parents James and Thomasine Hormell, and his sister Glenna Knapp.

There will be no visitation, just a small celebration of life with immediate family.
